Ferrari was founded the legendary Enzo Ferrari in 1929 and manufactured race cars and sponsored drivers before moving into custom supercars in 1947. For many the sight of the Cavallino Rampante ("prancing horse" - the black prancing stallion on a yellow shield) alone will produce images of supercars, the sound of horsepower and speed.

Troughout it's history Ferrari has always played a major role in classic (super) cars. From the early post-war years in races like the Mille Miglia up until the Formula two and One victories in the second half of last century.

In 1997, Henk made a serie of sculptures from the Ferrari 166 (1949) with Luigi Chinetti and Lord Nelson as driver in their victory of the 1949 24 hours of Le Mans.
